I work outside my home full-time and I have to say I love my job.
We live in Southern Illinois; it's quiet, close to a few big cities, lots of nature to take in, and has been our home since we were born.
Creativity has been in my bones since I was little, my mom says I was always making something.
I even got a college degree in creativity, but technically it says Cinema & Photography.
I planned on moving to the big city or traveling finding work photography work wear I could...But then I met my husband.
It didn't take long for us to start a family and today we have two toddler boys. We spend our days keeping up with them and hanging out with family and friends. The Beatles are pretty huge in my house. I seem to be reminded of a Beatles lyric daily, I say that my husband 'gave' their music to me. Before, when I had listened to their music is was just another song by a popular band...but since meeting my husband and realizing his love for them, it's a whole new meaning to me. My oldest is quite obsessed with them--and we are OK with that! We also enjoy watching sports, NASCAR, doing projects around the house, movies, cooking, getting outside, and having the occasional night out on the town.
I decided to start blogging to show off my sewing creations, projects around the house, experiences with our boys and family, my photography, adventures in the kitchen, and a few DIYs that I get brave enough to try out.
I named the blog 'Blue House White' for my grandmothers. One has a
white house and the other has a blue house, and for as long as I
remember that's how I characterized them. Grandma in the Blue House was
my first school bus driver and was always sewing, she made blankets for
every baby born in the surrounding area and had a big help in raising
my sister and I. Grandma in the White House raised 9 children and is a
master in the kitchen, we lived with them for a short time when I was
very young and her house is never empty! My grandmothers are very
special to me, they have each given me many lessons in life and have
both helped in molding me into the person I have become today.
